Who We Are   We are a very democratic group of about 20 multihulls, mostly Corsair Trimarans, that race together and play together on Lake Erie.  I also publish a Newsletter, about 1 time each year,  and Articles which tells of our great adventures.  I mail the newsletter to approximately 120 interested parties, but you will receive Deb's News and E-mails on a regular bases to keep you informed..

If you have any interest at all in multihulls, you can be a member!  We offer two types of memberships:  The Associate, or Newsletter Membership costs $10 and entitles you to all receive all the e-mail and snail mail communications that I send out throughout the year.  You will be kept abreast of all the multihull activity on Lake Erie.  You can even get your name and pertinent information on our Crew List.  Boat Memberships include the Handicap Rating Certificate, the Newsletter, and all the other communications.  Boat Memberships cost $35.

If you intend to race in any of the races on Lake Erie or those that require a GLMRA   PHRF Handicap Certificate you will need to read instructions then fill out a GLMRA/Lake Erie Multihull rating, plus sail declaration, and pay the $35, so that we can issue a current Lake Erie Multihulls PHRF Handicap Certificate or GLMRA Certificate.  Be sure to read the rules because PHRF is a class with rules. And, although we have the capability of issuing handicaps on site, at the regatta, we prefer not to do that.  It takes time and some research of the boat and race data, so that we can issue a fair handicap in advance of the race/regatta that you wish to participate in.  Initial certificates will be Temporary and subject to adjustment as more data becomes available.

We have our own Rating Committee with GLMRA which meets  to sets the base rates, assign handicaps and determine any special handicaps for custom boats or additions in equipment.  We make these determinations based on the analysis of race data collected over the race season and information provided on the sail declaration/measurement form.

If you are interested in learning more about LEM, check out our website, which includes photos, articles, past newsletters and links to Regatta websites.  Send me your e-mail address to and I will add you to my e-mail list so that you will not miss out on any correspondence about upcoming events.  Join now and support multihull racing on Lake Erie or enter one of the events run under GLMRA certificates.
